Edge-blending is a method whereby two or more video/data projectors are used together, with part of their images overlapping to create a seamless presentation on a wide screen. The term "edge blending" relates to the fact that the overlap needs to be carefully handled to prevent brightness discontinuities. The Edge Blend Unit is an accessory device for all MediaWallฎ display processors. It provides the ability to feather the overlapped edges of the MediaWall's outputs to create a seamless projected display. Outputs can be aligned vertically and horizontally. Each unit handles a single channel and is placed inline between the MediaWall processor and the projector. Using multiple units, seamless displays up to 2 x 3 are possible. Resolutions up to 1920 x 1200 and HD 1080p are supported in either RGB or DVI format. Gamma and black level correction are employed to compensate for the problems faced when blending projectors. An On-screen menu and Web Control Panel application make the set-up procedure quick and easy.
