INTRODUCING GENESIS™ As CRT monitors are replaced by flat screens and as working environment expectations are changing, we believe that the days of the fully enclosed console system are numbered. As a result, Adaptaspace™ has developed a new desktop solution: the GENESIS™ product line. GENESIS™ has been designed to incorporate features that will benefit users for years to come such as: human factors requirements, for increased comfort and reduced physical stress; equipment and accessory mounting flexibility, to satisfy the needs of each user; extensive cable management, for easy installation and access; product durability, for 24 hours - 7 days operation; room layout flexibility, to cater for any space constraint; modularity, to allow future equipment and room layout re-configurations; high aesthetics, to reflect corporate identity and image Monitors and accessories such as task light arms, phone shelves, rack mount turrets, power and communication turrets, can be attached anywhere along the length of the desk on the heavy-duty aluminum mounting beam. Accessories can be attached to the beam even when the monitors are simply sitting on their bases. As well as flatscreens, GENESIS™ also accommodates CRT monitors that can sit on the monitor decks or be placed on CRT articulating monitor arms attached to the mounting beam. Cross-sectional dimensions of the GENESIS™ technical desk system can easily be extended to match larger equipment requirements. As server farms are becoming more prevalent, the need for housing processors and rack-mount equipment may not be required. Thus, the basic GENESIS™ module is open underneath with a modesty panel. A standard front and rear access processor cabinet with fixed or swing-out processor shelves simply adds to the base structure to enclose, and if needed, restrict access to the processors. The processor and/or rack-mount cabinets are designed such that they become an integral part of the desk and can move with it as may be required. The simple design logic of GENESIS™ significantly lowers the product cost as well as the shipping and installation costs. The exceptional modularity allows easy re-configuration at any time during the life of the product. Custom materials and specific laminate or paint colors can be specified to match the clients’ requirements. Special requirements such as fire rated construction, ventilation fans for processors etc. can be incorporated into the product in order to meet specific project requirements.
